Camp participants explore the great outdoors through kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and canoeing on waterways throughout or region. Every day the campers head out to a new destination. They will discover the natural wonders that central Virginia has to offer, from the Rivanna and James Rivers to Sherando Lake and local reservoirs. Watershed Adventures Paddlesports Camp meets participants at any experience level and builds solid skills and know-how, giving each camper newfound confidence in water adventure.

A focus on water safety, trip planning, and leadership throughout the camp also helps campers grow into responsible and capable members of any outdoor expedition.

Campers take a break from the digital age to experience both meanings of watersheds. First, they explore our local geography and ecology in a hands-on way, cultivating wonder for the natural world. Second, they experience personal watershed moments, developing new perspective and independence. Through Watershed Adventures camp, they gain awareness of activities that can become lifelong sources of inspiration, camaraderie, and good health.
