Private Site Rentals at the Rivanna River Company

A Unique, Memorable, Authentic, Convenient Outdoor Event Space 5 minutes from Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall.

Our riverfront location is a beautiful and unique spot right in the heart of Charlottesville.  It is ideal for birthday parties, anniversary parties, company parties, family reunions, casual rehearsal dinners etc.  We do not do Wedding Rentals at this time. 

Our neighbor Hogwaller Brewing has great BBQ and sides for catering your event.  They will also set up a Burger Bar and cook on-site for your party!!

For private events you can bring your own food or get it catered by any company of your choosing.

For private events you can bring your own drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).  No ABC license is needed if there is no charge for entry and drinks are given to guests at no charge.

We do not have a large covered space in the case of inclement weather.  You are welcome to rent a tent if you would like your event to be rain or shine.  We do allow cancellations due to weather and will provide a refund (minus a $100 reservation fee).

Site Rental Fees

  • Kid’s Birthday Party (2 hour partial site rental during the hours of 9am-5pm), no river outfitting services.
    • Up to 25 people– $250
  • Kid’s Birthday Party (1.5 hour partial site rental during the hours of 9am-5pm, after using our river outfitting services for the whole group).  River Outfitting Service costs are in addition to the site rental fee.
    • Up to 25 people– $100
  • Partial Site Rental (2 hour event, can set-up 1 hour prior and clean-up 1 hour after)  for Private Event During the hours of 9am-5pm, with no river outfitting services.
    • Up to 50 people– $500
    • 50-100 people– $800
    • $150 for each additional hour beyond 2 hours
  • Partial Site Rental (2 hour event, can set-up 1 hour prior and clean-up 1 hour after) for Private Event During the hours of 9am-5pm,  with river outfitting services (River Outfitting costs are in addition to site rental)
    • Up to 50 people– $350
    • 50-100 people– $600
    • $150 for each additional hour beyond 2 hours
  • Whole Site Rental for Private Event after 5pm on Monday-Thursday (3 hour event, can set-up 1 hour prior and clean-up 1 hour after)
    • Up to 50 people – $700
    • 50-100 people- $1000
    • 100-150 people- $1250
  • Whole Site Rental for Private Event after 5pm on Friday, Saturday or Sunday (3 hour event, can set-up 1 hour prior and clean-up 1 hour after)
    • Up to 50 people – $950
    • 50-100 people- $1250
    • 100-150 people- $1500
    • 150-200– $2000
    • Events for more than 200 people can be arranged on a custom basis! 

These Rentals Include the following:

  • 1 RRC Staff Member on site
  • On-site Parking
  • Use of Port-o-Johns
  • Picnic Tables and Benches 
  • A rustic covered bar an additional covered bar space
  • String Lighting that is currently in place
  • Electricity
  • Stage
  • Trash and Recycling
  • Speaker system for music

Included upon request:

  • Cornhole and Frisbees and Balls
  • Fire Pit and Wood
  • Large Water Jug

These Rentals DO NOT Include the following:

  • Staff to set-up, run or clean-up event
  • Tent or large covered space
  • Food or drink
  • River Outfitting services– We are happy to arrange these separately. 
  • Use of refrigerated tap trailer – Available when staffed by additional RRC crew member upon request
